★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Two stars for the only two attendants that worked there, and because our dealings with them were pleasant. This establishment needs a major overhaul. First visit here, which was impromptu, as we were looking for a fun family outing last minute. One game pp is $9.50 w/ a $5 shoe rental, while a lane is $46 and the same priced shoe rental is separate. We chose the latter since it was four of us, and it was projected we could get in 1½ games. Nothing was in operation downstairs, i.e., the lights were half dimmed, concession stand bone dry, lockers all dented and which-a-way, no patrons, just dead.It was freezing, we asked if they could turn on the heat. The attendant immediately looked like he knew he couldn't deliver, but we saw him fiddling with the remote to the unit, still it remained cold. Our lane kept malfunctioning causing the score board to miscount the pins that were clearly knocked down. We had 1 pin in the gutter literally from the 3rd frame and it never got picked up, it just laid there. On every other frame, we had to find the attendant to either fix the lane or the electronic board. We had to manually figure out how to do it ourselves, after waiting 10 mins with no assistance (learned there was a large party downstairs that came after us). Everything squeaked, from opening the front door to the ball return everything was in need of WD-40. We advised the front desk of the timing we'd lost, they extended our time 10 minutes. For sure we should've gotten some money back, and we told the other attendant that. He chuckled but we were serious. I do not recommend. At all.
November 02 · Trae AléciaThis place has fallen apart. I used to bowl here between 2006-2014 in a bowling league and the place was barely holding on toward the later years Now lanes don’t function properly, facilities aren’t clean, men’s bathroom doesn’t have a working sink with tool kit sitting exposed in the sink and the vibe is wack (music starts then stops intermittently). Concession needs improvement too. Fruit punch tasted like water, lemonade had no sweetness to it. I would not recommend. Better to spend your money a little north at Bowlero in White Plains, or try Homefield Bowl.
September 21 · Terry RobinsonGave this place a try yesterday after reading a few reviews. Place does not look like this pics look. Not completely sure if the place recently had an issue with water damage but as soon as you enter there is an immediate strong stench of mildew and dampness. And at first sight, tons of broken lockers. When you approach the desk to reserve a lane and get shoes, there is a set of chairs placed in front of that desk...not sure if that is to keep you 6 ft from the people behind the counter or what, but it sure is awkward. The staff was friendly/helpful and the lanes were fine. Many balls at different sizes to chose from. But the place looks like it’s completely falling apart.
February 12 · Ebonie RaphaelPaid 9$/game to bowl & left with a damage on my PHASE 2 STORM ball. Most of the damage occurred over the track of my ball and thats why i’m writing this review.I went bowling @ paradise lanes last night, February 16th, 2024, from 10:45pm-close.Within that hour of play, the amount of divots, gashes, and chips that accumulated on my ball was ridiculous! I attached photos of my ball and color codes the damage respectively.Yellow circles - show all of the the same consistent gashes in length with some wider than others.Blue circles - show all of the identical divots.Green circles - show the giant chip taken from my thumb sleeve.Red - shows the gouges (albeit shallow, thankfully).I really hope that this bowling alley can fix these issues with their lanes. It’s unacceptable for a bowling alley, THAT HAS LEAGUE PLAY & TOURNAMENTS, to not fix these ball returns. I used to bowl here much more often about 8 years ago but to see the lack of up keep, especially on the upper level, is saddening. Will more like than not, go back to either homefield in yonkers or bowlerland in the bronx.
February 17 · John SpadaforaFound this spot on google, always in the area but never noticed it. Played a few games with my teenage nephew for his bday. Great classic old school bowling alley like New York used to be! Julian & Mike were friendly and inviting. definitely coming back !
